Meet Dr. Shah

Dr. Vidhee Shah is a Chicago native who grew up in the northwest suburbs.  Go Bears!

Dr. Shah completed her Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Neuroscience from University of Illinois Chicago.  From there, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Marquette University: School of Dentistry in Milwaukee.  Coming full circle, Dr. Shah came back to University of Illinois Chicago to complete her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry and earning an additional Masters (M.S.) in Oral Sciences.

During her residency, Dr. Shah conducted her research on the association of household chaos on pediatric patient appointment failure rates. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.

Dr. Shah takes pride in providing the highest level of care using the latest evidence based preventive and restorative oral care to infants, children, adolescents, and those with special needs. Her passion to help improve the smiles of children stems from her own dental experiences throughout childhood.  She believes children develop their perception of dental care early in life. Dr. Shah finds the most fulfilling part of being a dentist is creating an inviting and safe environment for her patients. She is able to create unique and enjoyable experiences that will last a lifetime by forming relationships with her patients based on trust, kindness, and compassion. Dr. Shah has no doubt that preventive education is the most effective way to maintain good oral health and a healthy smile which can translate to better overall health and wellness.

When Dr. Shah is not in the office, you can find her enjoying all the new (vegetarian-friendly) restaurants Chicago has to offer.  In addition, she enjoys travelling, hiking, and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
